About profhilo
Profhilo is an injectable treatment containing one of the highest concentrations of hyaluronic acid available. Rather than adding volume like a dermal filler, it spreads beneath the skin to hydrate it from within and to support the skin's own production of collagen and elastin, a process often described as bio-remodelling.
It is used on the face, neck, décolletage, hands, arms and knees for skin that is becoming lax, crepey or dull, or that shows fine lines and a loss of elasticity. The treatment involves a small number of injection points in each area and takes around 30 minutes.
Profhilo is given as a course of two sessions, four weeks apart. Hydration often improves within days of the first session, but the full effect develops gradually and is usually seen four to eight weeks after the second treatment. Maintenance every six to nine months is typical.
Downtime is minimal. Small bumps at the injection points and mild swelling are normal and usually settle within 24 to 48 hours. A personalised consultation before treatment makes sure Profhilo is the right choice for your skin.
